Advice from a bride

I ran across this statement from a recent bride on United With Love and thought I would share it with you, as it is very insightful advice:

Remember that whatever happens, at the end of the day you will be married. It’s so easy to get muddled down with details! Find vendors that understand your vision and then let them do their jobs. We gave guidance, not direction, to our vendors and I think it took a lot of pressure off everyone. I told our florist that I wanted in-season flowers in bright colors, and was blown away by how well she made that happen. Make sure you are comfortable with your photographer; you will have better pictures if you are at ease. If you don’t have a wedding planner, hire a day-of coordinator – they will ensure that everything runs smoothly so that you can relax and enjoy your day.

{Me} It is so very important that you let the professionals you have chosen to be part of your day make the decisions, whether big or small, that you have hired them to make with you. It is so easy to want things to go the way you see them, but most of the time there are a thousand things happening behind the scenes that you will never be aware of. So trust in the professionals you have chosen to be part of your wedding day.
